We settled in nicely at the last Style Canberra Festival Sunday Sessions pop up at Aspen Island, with live music from Pete Lyon and the fantastic Pop Inn close by with a nice rosé on its menu.
It would have been the best afternoon had an abrupt downpour not cut everything short.
But as I hurried back to the car in the rain, I was type of glad there ‘d be some tasty food for me to repack the next day for lunch.
The decision: As much as I love putting a picnic together, the quality of food and ease of effort of this might almost convert me. A Schmicnic would be best for a special event, or a great way to cater for that end of year party.
